Appeal after teenager injured by car in Paisley

Police have appealed for witnesses after a teenager was seriously injured by a vehicle in Renfrewshire.

Samuel Cameron, 18, from Paisley was struck on Wellmeadow Street, near to Lady Lane, at about 05:00 on Saturday.

He remains in a serious condition at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.

Police want to establish Mr Cameron's movements before the crash and are keen to trace two men who were with him in the town's Broomlands Street at 03:15.

Officers also want to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information that may help their inquiry.
