The partner of a Scottish woman missing in Spain for six months has been arrested in Denmark.

Lisa Brown, who worked in Gibraltar, was last seen in November.

The 32-year-old mother is originally from Alexandria in West Dunbartonshire but has lived in Spain since she was 18.

Her partner Simon Corner is believed to have been detained in Copenhagen on a European arrest warrant and is expected to be extradited to Spain.

A Foreign Office spokeswoman said: "We are providing assistance to a British man arrested in Denmark."

Ms Brown's family travelled to Spain to help with police searches and also set up social media sites to appeal for information.

A post on the Find Lisa Facebook page said: "We still appeal to anyone that may know any information or the whereabouts of Lisa to please contact the Guardia or police."
