Police discover £98,000 cannabis farm in Cumbernauld

A man has been arrested after police in North Lanarkshire discovered a cannabis farm worth £98,000.

Officers found about 160 cannabis plants in a raid on a property in Abronhill, Cumbernauld, on Thursday.

The raid took place following a tip-off and the drugs are thought to have a street value of £98,000.

A man has been arrested in connection with alleged drugs offences and is expected to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Monday.
