Man's body found at house in Greenock after fire

A man's body has been found following a fire at a house in Inverclyde.

Police Scotland said emergency services were called to the property, in Nicol Drive, Greenock, at about 02:30.

A man was removed from the property and pronounced dead at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified.

Police Scotland said it was conducting a joint investigation with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service into the cause of the blaze but it was not believed to be suspicious.
