Man dies after two-car crash on A82 at Loch Lomond

A man has died after a two-car crash on the A82 at Loch Lomond in Argyll.

An Opel car being driven south by John Allan, from Lanark, collided with a northbound BMW car, south of Tarbet at Firkin Point, at 13:20 on Sunday.

Mr Allan, 51, later died at Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

His 51-year-old female passenger is being treated for minor injuries at the same hospital. The BMW driver was not injured in the crash. Police have appealed for witnesses.
