Car hits and injures man at bus stop in East Renfrewshire

A man has been taken to hospital after he was struck by a car at a bus stop in East Renfrewshire.

The incident happened on Clarkston Road, at about 14:45.

The man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where he is being treated for head and ankle injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.

The female car driver was treated at the scene for a wrist injury. Inquiries into the incident are ongoing.
