'Significant' fire at derelict pub in Glasgow

Firefighters were called out to "significant" blaze at a derelict pub in the Barmulloch area of Glasgow.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service received a number of calls about the fire, at the Broomfield Tavern, at about 20:10.

A spokesman said five appliances from Bishopbriggs, Cowcaddens and Springburn were sent to the scene due to the intensity of the fire.

Eight firefighters in breathing apparatus tackled the blaze.
