Boat rescue in Sound of Mull after diver falls ill

A man has been taken to hospital from a boat in the Sound of Mull after suffering health problems which may have been related to diving.

Oban RNLI lifeboat launched at 01:00 and reached the boat, near Lochaline, about 45 minutes later.

The man was assessed and transferred to the lifeboat before being taken to Oban where an ambulance was waiting. There are no details of his condition.

After the incident, Oban lifeboat was readied for service again by 03:15.
