Man in court over attempted murder in Glasgow

A man has appeared in court charged with attempting to murder a man in Glasgow.

Ross Duffy, 28, appeared from custody at the city's sheriff court on Wednesday.

He was charged with attempted murder, assault to severe injury, permanent disfigurement and danger of life. He was remanded in custody and is expected to appear in court again next week.

The attack left the alleged victim, who is 34, in a critical condition.

The attack happened in the Milton area of the city in the early hours of Saturday.

Duffy, whose address was given in court as no fixed abode, made no plea or declaration during the private hearing.
