Glasgow's Piping Live! festival is under way with the week-long event set to conclude at the weekend with the World Pipe Band Championships.

Members of Alloa Bowmar Pipe Band opened the festival with a performance outside the Royal Concert Hall.

Other performers lined up include RURA, Anxo Lorenzo, Ross Ainslie and Ali Hutton, and the Red Hot Chilli Pipers.

More than 200 bands will compete in the World Championships, or Worlds, at Glasgow Green on Saturday and Sunday.
