Two men sought over street attack in Glasgow city centre

Police are attempting to trace two men who attacked another man in Glasgow city centre at the weekend.

The 32-year-old victim was standing at a bus stop on Stockwell Street, near to King Street car park, when he was attacked at about 03:00 on Sunday.

He was treated for his injuries at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and later released.

The men who carried out the attack were in the company of two women at the time and later made off towards High Street.

The first man is described as white, in his early 20s, with a beard. He was wearing a white shirt.

The second man was wearing a dark shirt.

Det Con Stephen Palmer said: "People would have been heading home from nights out in Glasgow city centre around the time this incident took place and I would appeal to any witnesses to get in touch.

"In particular I would like to speak to the two women who were in the company of the men at the time as I believe they saw what happened."
