CCTV appeal over Alexandria Co-op knife raiders
Police have released CCTV images of two masked men who carried out an armed robbery at a shop in Alexandria.
The men entered the Co-operative Food store in the West Dunbartonshire town's Argyle Street at about 21:55 on Monday 4 January.
They threatened two male members of staff with knives before escaping with a four-figure sum of cash. No-one was injured during the robbery.
Police have appealed for anyone who recognises the men to get in touch.
One man is described as wearing a black balaclava, black hooded top, light blue ripped denims and white trainers. He had a dark rucksack with him.
The other man is described as wearing a black balaclava, dark hooded top or jacket, black Adidas tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.
Det Sgt Stuart Grainger, the officer in charge of the investigation, said: "I believe that someone may have seen these men immediately before or after the incident and may have thought nothing of it at the time but any information we receive could be crucial.
"If you think you have information with regards to this incident then please contact Police Scotland."
