Woman injured after being hit by taxi in city centre

A 46-year-old woman is in a stable condition in hospital after being hit by a private hire car in Glasgow.

Police said the woman was crossing North Hanover Street at about 23:45 on Saturday when she was hit by a silver Toyota Avensis.

Ambulance crews attended and the woman was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary

Police Scotland have appealed for witnesses or for anyone who may have seen the Toyota driving in the area to come forward.
