Ex-Celtic Boys Club official in court on abuse charges

A former official at Celtic Boys Club has appeared in court in connection with alleged historical sexual offences.

Frank Cairney, 81, has been charged with sexual offences against five boys between 1965 and 1969.

Further charges relating to one alleged victim between 1974 and 1975 coincide with Mr Cairney's time at the club.

Mr Cairney, who appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court, was bailed on condition he does not approach alleged victims.
