Man 'kicked girl' after prank on Glasgow train

A man kicked a girl and pulled her off her seat in a train after a group of teenagers played a prank on him, according to police.

British Transport Police (BTP) said the incident happened on a train between Partick and Glasgow Central at about 19:20 on 26 April.

It is believed the three teenagers had locked the man out of a coach.

He is described as white, about 50 years old, 5ft 10in tall, with glasses, and he was wearing a suit.

When he gained entry to the coach, police said he kicked the girl, grabbed her legs and pulled her off the seat.

It is believed he then took her shoe off and threw it at her, before a member of the public stopped the altercation.

BTP has asked anyone with information to contact them.
