Pipe organ in Doors Open display

The public are being offered the chance of a rare glimpse of the inner workings of a Victorian-era pipe organ during Saturday's Doors Open Day.

Built by organ builder Henry Willis, the instrument at Inverness's Old High Church is being refurbished.

The Heritage Lottery Fund, Inverness Common Good Fund and Highland 2007 Legacy Fund have covered £110,000 of the £170,000 cost.

Doors Open Day gives free access to historic buildings across Scotland.

The rest of the cost is being paid for through other grants and individual donations.
