Family tribute to Thurso crash victim Michael Cameron

The family of a man who died in a crash on the A9 in Caithness have paid tribute to him.

Michael Cameron, 23, from Thurso, was killed in the crash which happened about three miles north of Spittal, at about 0310 GMT on Saturday.

Another man in the car was taken to Caithness General Hospital. His injuries are not known.

Mr Cameron's family said he would be sadly missed and spoke of his love for his partner and football.

Mr Cameron had lived with his parents and sister in Thurso.

In a statement, his family said: "He worked in Wick at the Job Centre Plus and enjoyed spending time with his partner Christy and her young child.

"He was active and loved football, both playing and watching.

"Michael will be sadly missed by all his family and friends."
