Talks on planned new '45 Jacobite rising film

People interested in getting involved in a film about the 1745 Jacobite rising have been invited to talks on the Battle of Culloden's anniversary.

The Forty Five Project aims to shoot a true-to-life depiction of the rebellion and Bonnie Prince Charlie.

Discussions are to be held at the Culloden House Hotel on 16 April, the 265th anniversary of the battle.

The hotel was the prince's headquarters in the lead-up to the 1746 battle which marked an end to the rising.

Orkney-born artist Judith Crow is among those involved in the film project.

A project spokeswoman said: "We're really keen to involve as many people who are just as passionate about the subject matter and film-making."
