Heavy rain causes landslips and flooding in Highlands

Heavy rain has caused problems in the Highlands with landslips affecting two roads.

Flood warnings were also in place for parts of Sutherland, Easter Ross and Inverness-shire.

The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (Sepa) said people living in Cannich, Conon Bridge, Marybank and Strathglass could be affected.

On Wednesday, landslips affected the A87 Kyle of Lochalsh road and unclassified Shiel Bridge to Glenelg.

Both roads were briefly closed but have since reopened.
