Heroin worth £60,000 seized from vehicles on A9

More than £60,000 worth of heroin has been seized by police from vehicles on the A9 in the Highlands in the past fortnight.

Officers from Northern Constabulary recovered £30,000 worth of the drug from a vehicle stopped south of Inverness on Saturday.

A 29-year-old man was arrested and reported to the procurator fiscal.

Two men, aged 40 and 33, were arrested on 29 April following another seizure of about £30,000 of heroin.

They have also been reported to the procurator fiscal.
