Pedestrian killed in Aviemore crash is named

A 35-year-old pedestrian has died after he was hit by a car near High Burnside in Aviemore.

The accident, involving a blue Vauxhall Vectra, happened on the access road to High Burnside just before 2300 BST on Saturday.

Euan Milne, from Dyce in Aberdeen, died at the scene.

Northern Constabulary urged anyone who was in the area at the time and who saw the car or two pedestrians to contact them.

Mr Milne's family have paid tribute to him.

In a statement, the family said: "Family and friends are devastated at the tragic and untimely loss of Euan.

"He had so much to look forward to only being married for 21 months and they had a whole lifetime ahead of them He has been taken from us far to soon.

"The family would formally request that we are given time to come to terms with our loss."
