Air ambulance temporarily grounded in Wester Ross field
An air ambulance was temporarily grounded in a field after its crew became concerned that some of the aircraft's gauges were not working.
A patient had been put on board the helicopter after it had arrived at Acheninver, near Achiltibuie, in Wester Ross, at about 2200 BST on Thursday.
However, the crew decided against flying to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.
A coastguard helicopter from Stornoway, on Lewis, took the patient to hospital.
The Scottish Ambulance Service said engineers had checked the helicopter and it has now been flown back to its base at Inverness Airport.
It had previously been reported that the helicopter had to make an emergency landing.
