Biker and driver killed in two crashes in Highlands

A motorcyclist and a car driver have died in two separate crashes in the Highlands.

The 21-year-old biker died after a collision with a car on the A87 at Breakish on Skye at about 1735 BST on Saturday.

The second crash happened at about 2000 BST in Beauly. Mina Mackenzie, 77, died after her car collided with another car on the A862 near the Lovat Bridge.

Northern Constabulary have appealed for witnesses to both incidents.

The A87 on Skye and the A862 at Beauly were closed for several hours while investigations were carried out.
