Royal Mail lorry and cars in crash on A9 in Caithness

A man has been airlifted to hospital following a crash involving a Royal Mail lorry and two cars.

The collision happened at about 0842 BST and closed the A9 at Mybster in Caithness for several hours. Diversions had been put in place.

Two men in the lorry and the female driver of one of the cars were not hurt, but police said the man from the second car was seriously injured.

He has been flown to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness by an air ambulance.
