Two men killed in A9 accident near Kingussie
Two men have died and another was left seriously injured after a two-vehicle crash on the A9 near Kingussie.
Four fire crews went to the scene after the crash at about 2130 BST on Monday, and found the vehicles alight.
A Northern Constabulary spokesperson said two occupants sustained fatal injuries, and a third was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.
The force appealed for witnesses, including the female driver of a dark Range Rover who was driving south.
The road was closed near Kingussie for seven hours while the crash was investigated.
Highlands and Islands Fire and Rescue Service has reported that the two killed in the accident were male.
Fire crews from Grantown on Spey, Aviemore, Kingussie and Newtonmore attended.
