New project to help vulnerable babies in Highlands
A new project has been launched in the Highlands to help babies and young children with parents who abuse alcohol or drugs.
Children 1st has run a pilot of Family Solutions from Killen, near Avoch in Ross-shire.
The charity said the scheme put families at the heart of decision-making and planning for the safety and wellbeing of their children.
It has received funding of £154,253 which will keep it going until 2015.
The funding has come from the Lloyds TSB Foundation for Scotland and the Scottish government.
