Coldstream in 600-mile Scottish Cup round trip to Wick

A football club in the borders are facing a round trip of more than 600 miles to take on Scotland's most northerly senior club.

Coldstream FC in Berwickshire have drawn Wick Academy in Caithness in the first round of the 2011/12 William Hill Scottish Cup.

It is the first time since 2007 that Wick have had a first round home tie.

The Caithness team play in the Highland League and Coldstream in the East of Scotland League.

First round ties will be played on the weekend of 24 September.

Nicknamed the Streamers, the borders club was established in 1895.

Wick, whose fans are known as the Scorries, was set up in 1893 and play at Harmsworth Park.
