Retired driving instructor Harry Parr died in Tain fire

A man who died in a fire at a garage at his home in Tain, Ross-shire, has been named by police.

Seventy-three-year-old Harry Parr was a retired driving instructor.

Three fire appliances attended the blaze, which broke out at the junction of Morangie Street and Murray Street at 11:40 on Sunday.

Morangie Road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident. Northern Constabulary said there were no suspicious circumstances.
