Six men and a woman are expected to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court later in connection with alleged drug dealing and money laundering offences.

Police said the seven were arrested during anti-drugs activities forming part of Operation Albatross.

Seventy officers, mainly from Northern Constabulary, raided properties in Inverness, Easter Ross, Lochaber, Moray and Strathclyde.

Grampian and Strathclyde officers assisted the Highlands force.

Northern Constabulary said Operation Albatross had been running for the past year and has resulted in the recovery of about £100,000 of class A and B drugs.
