Woman admits being too drunk to steer pram in Inverness

A woman has admitted being so drunk she was unable to steer a pram and properly look after children in her care.

Wendy Todd was in charge of two children when she was found unable to stand unaided in an Inverness street last March.

The 36-year-old pled guilty to being in charge of the children in a manner likely to expose them to unnecessary suffering or injury to health.

Sentencing at Inverness Sheriff Court was deferred until October.

Todd appeared in court after the offence was committed in the city's Telford Street on 26 March.

Sheriff Alasdair MacFadyen called for background social inquiry reports.
