Thieves steal Fort William pupils' dinner money
Police have condemned "callous" thieves who stole children's dinner money after breaking into a primary school.
Fort William Primary School was targeted between Wednesday night and Thursday morning.
The culprits took the pupils' school dinner money fund and caused "substantial" damage inside the building.
Northern Constabulary want to hear from witnesses who saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area.
Officers believe the thieves may have left through the back of the school.
Acting Inspector Jenny Fraser, the area commander for Lochaber, Skye and Lochalsh, said: "This was a wanton act of vandalism and the callous theft of money belonging to young school children.
"We would appeal to anyone who knows who may have been involved or saw anything suspicious to contact police."
