A whisky producer has spent £1m on upgrading a visitor centre and shop at a distillery in the Highlands.

Whyte & Mackay-owned Dalmore, near Alness, has distilled whiskies that have sold for £10,000 a bottle.

The new-look includes an oak table inlaid with a solid silver stag's head for the distillery's boardroom.

Architectural design consultancy JAMstudio, which is based at Fetternear in Aberdeenshire, led the revamp.
