Fifteen escape fire in Inverness flats
Fifteen people including a number of children were evacuated from flats in Inverness following a fire in a stairwell on Wednesday evening.
Firefighters had to rescue one woman using a ladder.
She was taken by ambulance to the city's Raigmore Hospital to be checked for smoke inhalation along with another adult.
Emergency services were called to the block of flats in Springfield Gardens at about 18:18.
It was understood the blaze destroyed a cupboard and caused smoke damage to the building.
Northern Constabulary said inquiries into the cause of the fire were at an early stage and have appealed for information.
