Police probe 70-year-old's death in Croy, Highlands

Police have launched an investigation into a man's death that officers said could be linked to an earlier road incident.

The 70-year-old man was found dead at a house in Croy, near Inverness, by a member of his family at about 02:30.

Northern Constabulary said how the man died would not be known until a post mortem had been done.

The force has appealed for witnesses to reports of a one vehicle collision on the B9091 Croy to Clephanton road.

Police said the man had been a passenger in the red Hyundai car involved in the crash at Leafy Bends sometime between 21:00 and 21:30 on Wednesday.
