Snow and ice forecast for parts of Scotland

Snow at low levels to depths of 1-3cm has been forecast for parts of Scotland on Sunday into Monday morning.

The Highlands, Argyll and parts of central Scotland could see showers turn increasingly wintery during Sunday afternoon, the Met Office has said.

On higher ground snow could gather to depths of 10cm or more and ice could form on roads.

The Met Office has issued a yellow "be aware" severe weather warning for parts of Scotland for Sunday into Monday.

Highland Council has been highlighting the warning.

Snow has been falling on hills and mountains in the area over the past few weeks.
