Driver who died after Invermoriston crash named

A 42-year-old driver who died after his car left a road and went down an embankment in the Highlands has been named by police.

Northern Constabulary said David Marshall was from the Inverness area.

The incident happened at about 06:50 on Wednesday on the A887, three miles west of Invermoriston.

A front-seat passenger was taken by ambulance to Raigmore Hospital and treated for minor injuries before he was released.

Mr Marshall was also taken to hospital where he died from his injuries.
