Houses evacuated after Inverness fire

Occupants had to be evacuated from neighbouring houses following a fire in Inverness.

Firefighters and police were called to the incident in a house on Murray Road, to the east of the city, at 07:15.

The fire was extinguished but a number of local residents were moved as a precautionary measure. No-one was injured.

Northern Constabulary said the cause of the fire was being investigated but did not appear to be suspicious.
