Culloden men facing assault and threat allegations

Two men have appeared in court accused of assaulting another man to his severe injury and threatening to harm his family if he went to the police.

Colin Horne, 29, and John Marshall, 26, both of Culloden, appeared from custody at Inverness Sheriff Court.

They allegedly repeatedly punched, kicked and stamped on the other man's head and body while acting with another in Culloden on New Year's Day.

Mr Horne and Mr Marshall made no plea or declaration.

They were committed for further examination and remanded in custody.

They are expected to appear again in court next week.
