Highland councillors asked to approve Ross-shire homes

Highland councillors will be asked on Wednesday to approve plans by a private firm to build two new care homes in Ross-shire.

The Parklands Group proposes to construct the 34-bed homes in Tain and Muir of Ord to replace existing local authority-run properties.

Highland Council's housing and social work committee will be asked to approve the drawing up of the contracts.

Parklands already operate care homes in the Highlands.
