Ben Nevis climber injured in fall

A man has fallen 60m (200ft) on Britain's highest mountain, Ben Nevis, in the Scottish Highlands.

The 57-year-old fell at 11:00 GMT on Saturday and was found by Lochaber Mountain Rescue and an RAF helicopter search team.

He was taken to Belford Hospital in Fort William but, due to his injuries, was transferred to the Southern General Hospital in Glasgow.

The extent of his injuries have not been made known.
