Mallaig lifeboat goes to quad biker's aid in Knoydart

A lifeboat has gone to the aid of a 20-year-old man who was injured after falling from a quad bike on the remote Knoydart Peninsula.

Stornoway Coastguard asked Mallaig lifeboat crew to launch at about 14:50 and pick up the injured man from Inverie.

The man was taken to a waiting ambulance at Mallaig.

He has been receiving treatment for a suspected broken collar bone at Belford Hospital in Fort William.
