Three rescued from fires in Fort William and Castletown

Three people have been taken to hospital following two early morning fires in the Highlands.

In the first incident, a woman and a child were rescued from a third-floor flat in Fort William. Firefighters used a ladder to reach the two people.

Emergency services were called to the scene at 02:30.

A person was later rescued from a fire in a house in Castletown near Thurso. Emergency services were called to the property at about 07:15.
