Bypass for Nairn unlikely before 2020

The construction of a long planned bypass for Nairn is unlikely to start before 2020, according to planning officials.

Highland Council and Transport Scotland have sought public views on three options for the road.

Tim Stott, Highland Council's principal planner, said all the options avoided creating a direct impact on Nairn.

He said the bypass would ease traffic through the town, but added that finding funds for it was a challenge.
