Teenage victim named after crash on B876 in Caithness

A driver who died after his car crashed on the B876 in Caithness has been named by Northern Constabulary.

Christopher Durrand, 17, from Wick, died in the crash at Hastigrow Bridge, near Bower, on Sunday.

His passenger was seriously injured in the accident which was discovered by police officers travelling on the road at about 20:00.

Police have appealed to anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or been in the area at the time, to contact them.
