Woman 'regularly trespasses' on Highlands railway line

A woman who is said to regularly trespass on a railway line in the Highlands is being sought by British Transport Police.

She was seen on the line south of Carrbridge station on four occasions between 12-19 January, the force said.

The woman was described as being in her 30s with blonde hair and was wearing a beige top and trousers.

Sgt Kevin Lawrence said her actions were dangerous and also a criminal offence.

He said: "This is a remote location and I am sure that someone in the community will know something, and therefore I am appealing for anyone with knowledge of the woman's identity to contact me as a matter of urgency."

Police said the woman had been seen on the line at a bridge crossing the railway track between the B9153 and the A9 near Kinveachy Lodge.
