Missing Lewis man found safe and well following searches

A Lewis man whose disappearance sparked searches involving coastguard and lifeboat teams has been found safe and well.

Northern Constabulary said the 36-year-old man had been reported missing from his parents' address in the Point area.

A search - involving police, coastguard teams, Stornoway lifeboat and Hebridean search and rescue - was launched on Sunday night.

Search teams resumed the effort to trace the man on Monday.

Police said he had been found safe and well.
