Rescue after boat strikes rocks off Muck

A rescue has taken place in the Hebrides after coastguards received reports of a vessel striking rocks off the west coast of Scotland.

The 30ft boat, The Boy Grant, raised the alarm after it began taking on water in an area to the south east of Muck, in the Small Isles.

One person was on board at the time. A local rescue boat went to the scene, along with the Mallaig lifeboat.

The damaged vessel was being towed to Mallaig for repairs.
