Search for missing Edderton girl Moyra As-Chainey

An RAF helicopter, search dogs, the coastguard and mountain rescue teams are involved in efforts to trace a missing 16-year-old girl.

Moyra As-Chainey, from Edderton, near Tain, in Easter Ross, has been missing since 08.30 on Wednesday.

Police, a helicopter from RAF Lossiemouth and dogs have made searches around Edderton.

Moyra was described as about 5ft 7in, has long brown hair and green eyes and has been described as "vulnerable".

She was last seen wearing a navy fleece, black leggings and Ugg boots.

Four dogs and their handlers from the Search and Rescue Dog Association, 35 mountain rescuers from Dundonnel, Assynt and RAF Kinloss teams and 10 coastguard officers have been carrying out searches close to Moyra's home.
