Man dies after motorcycle crash

A man has died and another been left injured after an early morning motorcycle crash in Edinburgh.

The two men, aged 18 and 20, were found at 05:45 lying beside a motorbike in a walkway at Milton Link Road in the Magdalene area of the city.

They were taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, where the 20-year-old was pronounced dead.

The 18-year-old has a leg injury. Lothian Police believe the pair were on the bike when it crashed into a tree.

They are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to contact them.

Meanwhile, a female motorcyclist is being treated in hospital after a crash involving a car.

The woman was taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness with suspected back injuries following the collision.

Northern Constabulary said the accident took place at the junction of the B9152 and the A86 at Kingussie at about 11:40.

The force said the occupants of the car were treated at the Kingussie Health Centre.
