Work to start on Inverness Airport upgrade

Work to make £850,000-worth of improvements to Inverness Airport is expected to start at the end of May.

The south apron, the main parking area for aircraft, will be upgraded to allow larger planes such as Easyjet A319s to park next to the arrivals area.

The final stages of the three-phase project will improve access to the terminal by long-range aircraft, including Boeing 757s.

Balfour Beatty has been appointed to carry out the work.
